A Little About Me

I’m standing for election to the Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council to represent the Residents and Businesses in the Basing Ward. Thanks for taking the time to learn a little more about me. My family comes from Edmonton, North London. I was born and raised in West Africa, educated in England, and have lived and worked all around the world. Most recently I have worked in healthcare, investing in companies that use digital technology to reduce costs and improve the quality of care; as well as sitting on the Board of an NHS Trust. My wife & I settled in Newnham in 2007, where I have been active in our local community. That includes being one of the Founders of SOLVE, Chair of Newnham Parish Council and fundraising for the very exciting new Ark Cancer Centre in Basingstoke Hospital. I also work on social enterprise programmes that are focused on improving access to quality healthcare in East Africa.

To give you a little more insight into who I am and what I think please read this: BBC Interview . You can learn more about my professional career here: LinkedIn.

A Founder of SOLVE

Clive joined with other local residents and councillors in 2007 to form SOLVE. SOLVE (Save Our Loddon Valley Environment) is a non-political group set up by local people who believe our unique eco-systems and sites of historic national significance in the Loddon Valley are as important as our economic aspirations, and should be protected for the benefit of the wider Basingstoke community.

So far we have successfully stopped over 3,000 homes on sites around Old Basing & Lynchpit being included in the local plan.
